Shine a light on blood cancer
Mango Chutney was engaged by the Leukaemia Foundation to help reimagine the Light the Night website in response to the dramatic impact COVID-19 had on the fundraising event landscape. We designed and developed an entirely new interface and user journey which helped empower participants to raise $1 million for the 2020 event.
Virtual lantern ceremony
We leveraged performant and scalable development technologies to recreate the lantern ceremony in a virtual space. Over 3,000 families came together to light their virtual lanterns on Saturday 10th October 2020. Participants engaged by sharing messages and photos of hope to the dynamic live social feed whilst tuning in to the official event video stream.
Mango Chutney created a suite of custom illustrations and animations to help Leukaemia Foundation inform users of the new virtual event structure.
We created an innovative, seamless sign up sequence which resulted in a record number of early user registrations and donations, in nearly a decade.
Mango Chutney has been the digital custodian of online fundraising for the Light the Night since 2009. In that time, the event has raised over $10 million.
